Dr. Valstad received his doctorate in Dental Medicine from Southern Illinois University in 1998. He spent the next two years as a lieutenant in the U.S. Public Health Service working as a senior assistant dental surgeon for the Indian Health Service in Shipwreck, New Mexico. He is pleased to have been practicing in Northern Colorado since 2000.
In a constant effort to improve patient care, Dr. Valstad dedicates time out of the office pursuing the latest developments in technology and treatment modalities. He participates in continuing education opportunities focusing on esthetic excellence, implant restorative dentistry, and restoring worn dentition. He regularly attends the Spear Learning Continuum at the Spear Center for Dental Education in Scottsdale, Arizona.
When Dr. Valstad is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family. He especially enjoys camping with his wife and young daughter and son. You may see him at the gym and on the bike trails in Fort Collins and Windsor.
Dr. Valstad has taken advanced courses on sleep apnea disorder and is up to date on the latest trends in treatment and technology.
